The Parent Company won the 2015 AGC Build TN Award in the General Contractor Building ($10-$20 Million) Category for Harpeth Hall School’s Athletic & Wellness Center. Harpeth Hall School, a private all-girls school in Nashville, TN, selected The Parent Company to build their Athletic & Wellness Center in 2013. This all-inclusive, state-of-the-art multipurpose and athletic complex provided their students and faculty with a beautiful facility that will host school and sport activities, extracurricular activities and functions, and athletic tournaments.
The 63,000 sf state of the art facility was built in two phases on a restricted site in the center of an active college preparatory high school campus. While keeping the students and staff safe from construction activities, the construction of the first phase was completed in eleven months, with the second phase completed four months later. Extensive pre-construction services were performed as the fund raising campaign was underway during building design. The Parent Company became a partner with the school and design team in participating in board of trust planning sessions to make sure the vision could be completed on time and within budget. The facility houses two competition gymnasiums with automatic overhead basketball and volleyball systems, a weight training and cardio area, yoga and dance studios, locker rooms and offices. The site construction included seven bio swales, new parking and a new tennis facility with spectator seating and four courts.
