Hankook Tire selected Clarksville, TN for their first North American tire plant. The Training Center was the first vertical construction on the 400 acre campus. The Training Center will provide the office, classroom and hands-on training space to educate the employees.

During the design, review and approval of the Hybrid Metal Building, The Parent Company used the time to pre-fabricate and pre-order as much material as possible so that when we were able to start work on the building we would not be waiting on materials. We also used the time to conduct coordination meetings between subcontractors to identify and eliminate conflicts. These coordination meetings minimized delays in the field due to material conflict resolution.

Bi-Weekly coordination meetings were conducted to review progress schedules, action items and interfacing activities. Communicating clearly and listening to insure understanding by all parties proved to be the most critical challenge for the project.

Compressed Schedule The construction schedule was compressed given the design which called for a hybrid metal building. Construction on the building foundations could not start until the metal building was designed and foundation reactions developed.
