The Parent Company was selected to construct a roof terrace for a Nashville investment firm. The Owner wanted a space off of the penthouse office to host gatherings and have an amazing view of West and Downtown Nashville.

This project required The Parent Company to find creative solutions to the design, scheduling, and logistical challenges that come with construction on a rooftop.

  • Design The design had to consider whether the existing building structure could support the roof system.
  • Schedule & Logistics The Parent Company had to perform the work over the weekend, and the only way to get heavy materials on the roof were via crane as there was no elevator to the level of the terrace. Materials required to ‘rough in’ the project were hand carried in. Everything was staged and lifted in a specific order since there was limited lay down area on the roof itself.
  • Weather Weather also played a factor in the installation and scheduling of the cranes.
