“Terrazzo’s development team included dedicated professionals who believe in creating sustainable buildings, and we applaud their critical role in adding the first LEED-certified high-rise to downtown Nashville’s skyline.”

– Bill Barkley, President of Crosland TN

Terrazzo is the first LEED-certified, highrise in Downtown Nashville’s The Gulch. This 290,000 sf, 14-story, mixed-use development includes office, retail, and residential spaces.

With limited site access, limited work hours, and coordination of city street closures, The Parent Company’s attention to detail and clear communication with the development team and subcontractors resulted in a successful project.

  • Schedule The schedule for the Terrazzo project was paramount. The concrete structure was delivered on time and under budget. The Parent Company’s innovative methods and careful planning of the work created opportunity for success.
  • Safety From in slab digital strength probes, to multiple tie off points cast in columns for worker safety, the work was delivered in a safe, expedient manner. The post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete garage was built mostly under the street level.
  • Staging Deliveries and staging of placements was very important. In order to maximize the space of the site, The Parent Company placed gunnite slope protection around the upper limits of the pit excavation to create a safe stable edge of the foundation hole. As the garage was brought out of the ground, the permanent entrance was installed along with fire protection systems to create and ‘in-building” storage and staging area. Storm system ejector pumps were brought on line early to protect the area.
