“The Parent Company’s work with our dormitory renovations over the past several summers has proven to us that they are the leaders in the Nashville market. Given a tough “summer schedule” they finished on time and under budget.”
– Hans Mooy, Project Manager at Vanderbilt University
Vanderbilt University is a private university located in Nashville, Tennessee. The Parent Company has been performing dormitory work on Vanderbilt’s campus since the founding of our firm. Our most recent work, renovations of West Hall, included family suites for professors involved in the residential college program. The work required extensive coordination and pre-ordering of materials, as the project had to be performed during the summer break of the school.
In addition to the summer work, The Parent Company was a team member in the Freshmen Commons initiative, performing complete gut and re-builds of the existing dormitories on the Peabody campus. The work involved careful coordination with campus operations, adjacent construction activity by other contractors and accommodations for the school calendar and activities.
- Summer Schedule All renovations had to be complete during a tough ‘summer schedule.’ This meant leaving no stone unturned during the preconstruction phase. The Parent Company pre-ordered specialized materials and oversaw the close coordination of furniture, IT and Specialized AV equipment to insure successfully turning the dorms back over to Vanderbilt in time for the students to move in.
