Vanderbilt University’s McGugin Center houses the university’s growing athletic program. The McGugin Center had not been renovated since 1989 and The Parent Company was hired to manage the facility’s upgrades and expansion. The renovation included a new Olympic sport locker rooms and meeting rooms. The McGugin Center renovations included complex phasing and strategic pre-construction decision making that resulted in a successful project.
- Intense Coordination The renovation of the McGugin Center involved intense coordination as the renovation area of the building is surrounded on three sides by occupied building. The work includes the complete demolition of a single story portion of the building with the exception of a mechanical room housing the hot water source for the occupied building.
