“Madison Street UMC has been a landmark structure in Clarksville for generations, the cornerstone of the sanctuary was laid in 1882.”

– Ann Wallace, The Leaf-Chronicle

Madison Street United Methodist Church was destroyed by an F3 tornado that hit downtown Clarksville in 1999. Retaining the 117 year old church’s historic look and feel was a top priority for the congregation. The Parent Company worked with EOA Architects to determine the best and most cost-effective way to rebuild Madison Street UMC, and since the church was only partially destroyed this required tying the new structure in with the old.

  • Reconstruction of a historic building
  • Sanctuary
  • Fellowship Hall
  • Christian Life Center
  • Offices & Classrooms

  • General Contracting Services
  • Pre-Construction

  • Historic Site Top priority was to keep the look and feel of the 117 year old church.
  • Modern Construction Techniques Careful planning was required in order to successfully use modern construction techniques on an historic church building.
  • Joining Old & New Since Madison Street UMC was only partially destroyed by the tornado the renovation entailed tying new construction into the original building.
