Bertelsmann Music Group’s Entertainment Complex was restored in 1999 as a national historic landmark. Renovations included converting an historic building used as a nursing home into a first class office space for one of the leaders of the music industry. A chapel intersecting the center of the building was renovated into a multimedia room and performance hall, and the existing structure was converted from corridor brick load bearing walls into a modern and open office plan. Developing a way to support the existing structure while removing the load bearing walls and replacing it with a new steel frame structure.
