– Keith Loiseau, Vanderbilt University’s Architect
Vanderbilt University’s Memorial Gymnasium is home to the school’s men’s and women’s basketball programs. Memorial Gym was built in 1952 and its unique character has earned it the title of the “Fenway Park of College Basketball.” The Parent Company was selected to manage the phased renovations to Memorial Gym that took place from 1999 to 2008. The public lobbies, locker rooms, sports medicine clinics, practice gyms, main game arena and coaches’ offices have all been constructed or renovated over this time period. In each phase, The Parent Company was able to provide the work on time and in budget. Major HVAC updates were included on the additions and locker room renovations. Coordination with the campus planning and the Memorial Gym staff was crucial to each phase of the work.
