“Your team of Bob Sarratt, Matt Nelson and Layne Fuson have been proactive in addressing the challenging issues created by construction in the midst of a school campus”

– Anne King, Harpeth Hall School’s Director of Finance & Operations

The Harpeth Hall School, a private all-girls school in Nashville, TN, selected The Parent Company to build their Athletic & Wellness Center in 2013. This all-inclusive, state-of-the-art multipurpose and athletic complex provided their students and faculty with a beautiful facility that will host school and sport activities, extracurricular activities and functions, and athletic tournaments.

One of Harpeth Hall’s biggest concerns was keeping the campus safe and functional during construction. The Parent Company helped Harpeth Hall achieve their goal by making the school’s calendar a priority, clearly communicating key construction milestones, and providing regular progress updates to the entire construction team, which included Harpeth Hall, Street Dixon Rick, and Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects.

Phase I of the 63,000 sf Athletic & Wellness Center includes a gym that will seat 800, 3,500 sf fitness facility, offices, locker rooms, multi-purpose classrooms, concession kitchen, and spirit store. The structure consists of load bearing masonry, structural steel, and pre-cast planks for the roof with the exception of the gymnasiums, which are spanned with structural steel joists. Finishes include stained concrete floors, epoxy flooring, exposed ceilings, as well as acoustical ceilings, painted block walls, drywall walls, and gymnasium wood flooring system.
