– Kathleen Rayburn, Head of School
Currey Ingram Academy is an independent, K-12 college preparatory school in Middle Tennessee for students with average to superior intelligence who have unique learning styles. As the student body continued to grow it was necessary to consolidate several functions. School administration staff was spread out among any available office space, two separate kitchens and dining facilities existed, and three libraries existed across campus. The Jennifer & Billy Frist Hall was designed to be Currey Ingram’s central hub.
Staff and student travel paths had to be rerouted with temporary walks outside the construction area. Campus activities (special events, sporting events, testing, drop off and pick up) were identified through monthly staff meetings and construction activities were scheduled to minimize impact on the campus.
- Tight Site The Student Center was situated in the heart of campus between all three academic buildings (Lower, Middle & High School).
- Active Campus Coordination of campus activities and schedules had to be coordinated with all three school Division Heads as well as with the School administrative staff.
