– Phillipe Fauchet, Dean of the Vanderbilt School of Engineering

Vanderbilt University’s commitment to producing leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators is strengthened with the Engineering & Science Building project. The Engineering & Science Building is 230,000 square feet and seven stories high. This building will provide additional lab space and a cleanroom that will help students and faculty continue to innovate in areas such as advanced energy storage and nano-bio-technology.

In a joint venture with Clark Construction, The Parent Company provided Vanderbilt, a long-time client, with preliminary budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering services. These services allowed Vanderbilt to make decisions that produced a building that met Vanderbilt’s financial goals without sacrificing their design goals.

  • Budget The Parent Company worked with Clark, Vanderbilt, and the designers to get a satisfactory budget.
  • Campus Construction The schedule was an issue since the timing revolved around the university calendar year and had to be maintained despite the final design taking longer than expected due to budget concerns.
